The URSA Mini Shoulder Kit is compatible with both the 4K URSA Mini camera and the 4.6K URSA Mini camera. The addition of the baseplate/shoulder mount and the top handle increase the vertical profile of your URSA Mini camera, but it still remains a compact form. The handle attaches quickly with (2) provided screws which you tighten with your hex key. If you remove the rubber pad from under the handle, you can insert an URSA viewfinder. (3) 1/4"-20 threaded mount points are provided on top of the handle. It also works will for capturing low-profile shots for a unique perspective when walking or running. The kit also includes a top handle for carrying the camera and attaching accessories. Simply remove the side hand which comes standard on the URSA Mini, then attach the extension arm an optional grip to complete your rig. The extension arm offers you the ability to more comfortably hold your Blackmagic URSA Mini camera when using this ENG-style shoulder mount. Experiment to find the best balance for your setup. You can position the camera forward or backwards by adjusting how you connect the baseplate/shoulder pad unit to your URSA Mini. Insert your support rods into the front rail mounts so you can support your larger cine lenses, a mattebox, etc. You don't need to remove the shoulder pad to do this. The baseplate features a padded shoulder support on the bottom.
The URSA Mini Shoulder Mount Kit features two front ARRI-style rosettes and rail mounts so you quickly attach the camera to a tripod or unlatch, via a quick-release plate, to use on your shoulder. Blackmagic Design engineered this shoulder mount with pad to be well-balanced and comfortable for ENG-style, roaming shoots. Its versatility provides the operator the change to rapidly move your URSA Mini from tripod to handheld and back, multiple times on a shoot.
